reflections and beginnings. {c’est moi}

January is done. February begins. How is your 2011 shaping up so far? Mine is full. Of life, surprises and lots of moving.

Here’s a little more about me. And of course, this list is rather random. It’s just stuff that’s either on my mind or just popped in once I started writing.

11. Writing these isn’t as easy as I expected it to be.

10. This month my biggest task is to get my office set up the way I want it to be. Cameron reminded me (again) that streamlining my office would really help raise my efficiency. I’m a lover of efficiency so this appealed to me a lot.

9. I don’t like going back the way I came. I’d rather travel in a circle than back and forth in a straight line. I love circles. So much so that I dream of living in a round house with round rooms.

8. I hiked a LOT in January. It makes me happy to move and explore and work my body. Plus sharing this joy with my HRG is the best. To top it off, pushing his stroller or carrying him adds weights to my cardio for a complete body workout. Double ha!

7. Reflections make me smile. They remind me of symmetry and that things may not be as or what they seem.

6. In my deepest heart, I long to photograph births. Especially births at home. Just the idea of conveying the magic, sacred, power and connection involved makes me want to weep. What a wondrous thing life is.

5. I take photos every day. Without fail. I LOVE it.

4. Sushi is perfect food. Delicious, nutritious and beautiful.

3. There has never been a time when I didn’t want to be a mother or a time when I wasn’t an artist.

2. I love beginnings. Of books, of years, of months, of days, of movies, of meals, of conversations… everything so pregnant with possibiity.

1. Where I come from, French toast is savoury so having it sweet and dusted with sugar makes me feel like I’m having desert for breakfast.

    I adore this. I am borrowing this idea for when I eventually take up my virtual pen and start posting again.
